VIC: Police fear for safety of missing 86 year old man

MELBOURNE, Dec 29 AAP - Victorian police said today they were concerned for the safety of
an 86-year-old Melbourne man suffering dementia who has been missing from an aged care centre
since late yesterday.

Albert Faulkner had not been seen at the centre in south-east suburban Bentleigh since 5 pm
(AEDT) yesterday, Senior Constable Michelle Fischer said.

Mr Faulkner's family and staff at the aged care centre were anxious over his welfare as he
suffered dementia, Sen Const Fischer said.

He was described as 165 cm tall, with medium to solid build, partially bald and with an eye
defect, she said.
